EMPORIA, Kan. — Nikki Llewellyn, Missouri Southern’s career scoring leader, notched her first hat trick and assisted on another goal as the Lions rolled past Emporia State 5-1 Thursday.

Llewellyn’s first goal came in the 11th minute off an assist from Megan Walker. Nine minutes later Sara Evers fed Llewellyn for a breakaway goal and a 2-0 lead.

Brianna McKenzie’s goal from 15 yards out gave the Lions a 3-0 halftime lead.

Llewellyn completed her hat trick 13 minutes into the second half off a cross from Gentri White. Just three minutes later, White scored off a pass from Llewellyn for the Lions’ final goal.
