WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Resting their “big guns” the Joplin Eagles still had no trouble topping the West Plains Zizzers in an Ozark Conference showdown.

Giovanni Lara, Lucas Kemper and Jordan Adame each added goals for the Eagles.
“We were resting our big guns,” Eagles coach Ed Miller said. “We just had a big tournament this weekend so we were getting them some time off. I really thought we just played hard and got a lot of opportunities to put the ball in the net.”
Aurora 4, Thomas Jefferson 0
AURORA, Mo. — The Thomas Jefferson Cavaliers dropped a 4-0 decision to the Aurora Houn’ Dawgs and lost two players to injuries.

Thomas Jefferson coach Tom Scheidemantel says he isn’t sure how much time the two will miss.
“We have some other bumps and bruises too,” he said. “To watch the game, really, it wasn’t a 4-0 game. Aurora came out and played well. I was just ready to hurry and get out of there before any more damage was done.”
