Harlem Legends

to play at Webb City

WEBB CITY, Mo. — The Harlem Legends will appear in the Webb City High School gym at 2 p.m. on Nov. 2.

Tickets for the benefit game are $10 and $5. Legends players include former Missouri Western standout Larry “Gator” Rivers.

Tickets can be bought at Central United Methodist Church, Gary Price Insurance, Carterville Gym, Mid-Missouri Bank, Southwest Missouri Bank and Dugout Sport Shop.

The game is presented by the Michael Douglas Youth Foundation.

CHC seeded first

in volleyball district

DIAMOND, Mo. — The College Heights volleyball team has been seeded No. 1 for the Class 2 District 11 Tournament scheduled Oct. 27-28.

College Heights and second-seeded Diamond have byes in the six-team tourney.

Opening matches on Oct. 27 are Sarcoxie vs. No. 4 Southwest at 6 p.m. and third-seeded Pierce City vs. Purdy at 7:15.

Semifinals will be held at 6 p.m. and 7:15 the next night with the final set 30 minutes after the finish of the second semifinal.
