Kori Gregory, Brittany Owen and Melea Cook combined for 49 points as Ozark Christian College breezed past Central Bible College 80-34 Thursday night at the OCC gymnasium.
Gregory, 5-foot-3 freshman who prepped at Carthage, registered a double-double with 18 points and 10 steals for the Ambaasadors (9-13). Gregory hit 7-of-12 shots from the field and 2-of-3 free throws.
Owen made 6-of-10 field goals while scoring 17 points, and Cook chipped in with 14. Both had seven rebounds.
Lacy Bounds dished out six assists and matched Gregory’s 10 steals, and Morgan Bross snared 13 rebounds to lead the Ambassadors to a 51-45 advantage on the boards. OCC, which had 29 total steals, led 43-21 at halftime.
LIndy Tilus had 17 points and 16 rebounds for the Spartans.
The Ambassadors entertain No. 4-ranked Manhattan Christian at 5:30 p.m. today.
CBC men 85, OCC 65
Blake Hanson poured in 34 points to spark Central Bible past the Ambassadors.
Hanson was 9-of-18 from the field, 6-of-11 from 3-point range and 10-of-11 at the foul line for his 34 points. Cameron Tilus and Chris Weber added 17 and 14, respectively, and Weber also had 12 rebounds for the Spartans, who led 37-22 at the intermission.
Drew Hanson tallied 15 points to lead OCC, followed by Paden Bennett with 13 and Caleb Hutchcraft and Clancy Allmoslecher with 10 apiece.
The Ambassadors are home against Manhattan Christian at 7:30 tonight.
