MSSU softball set to face Fort Hays State

Looking to move up in the MIAA standings, Missouri Southern plays its final two home conference doubleheaders this weekend against Fort Hays State at 4 p.m. today and Nebraska-Kearney at noon Saturday.

The Lions (14-28, 6-12 MIAA) are 12th in the conference standings, three games behind eighth-place Lindenwood. The Lions have eight league games left.

Fort Hays State (23-16, 12-8) is fifth in the standings, and Nebraska-Kearney (9-23, 7-13) is one game ahead of the Lions entering today’s twinbill at Pittsburg State.

The Lions’ final two league twinbills are on the road against fourth-place Central Missouri and 13th-place Southwest Baptist. Those games are on April 25-26.
