Crusaders plan
Saturday meeting
The Joplin Crusaders, members of the non-pro Central Football League, have scheduled an organizational meeting at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Joplin Athletic Complex, 301 W. First.
The first registration for the upcoming season — which starts the last week in February or the first week of March — is on the agenda.
“Players need to fill out a new waiver form each year,” Joplin owner Charlie Hudson said Tuesday. “We should have at least one more session for signing up before the start of practice.”
Prospective players can contact Hudson, (417) 439-0804, or Crusader head coach David Pitts, (620) 704-5491, for information.
Joplin is three-time defending champion of the CFL.
