Commerce wrapped up an Oklahoma Class A playoff berth with a 62-0 victory over visiting Hulbert on Thursday night.

But the Tigers’ playoff position will be determined by the results of three other district games tonight.

Salina leads District A-8 with a 7-1 record entering tonight’s home game against Oklahoma Union (3-5 in the district). Commerce, Afton and Foyil have two losses each.

Afton has a home game tonight against Ketchum (4-4) and Foyil visits Quapaw (5-3).

Quapaw could earn the district’s No. 4 position with a victory.

The likely order of finish, presuming wins by Salina and Afton, would be Salina first, Commerce second, Afton third and the Quapaw-Foyil winner fourth.

Bryson Sullivan scored three touchdowns for Commerce on Thursday night and finished with 10 carries for 139 yards in two quarters of action. Ricky Watkins also had three TDs and gained 94 yards on nine carries. Quarterback Joey Bowling completed six of eight passes for 106 yards and kicked eight of nine conversions.

In Oklahoma District 4A-3, Grove visits Jay tonight in the renewal of an old rivalry. Jay, at 5-1, is involved in a three-way tie for the district lead with Catoosa and Oologah.

Collinsville is currently fourth in the district at 4-2, followed by defending champion Grove at 3-3.

Catoosa entertains winless Locust Grove tonight and Oologah visits Collinsville.
