Ozark Christian opened its Midwest Christian College Conference schedule by sweeping visiting Central Christian of Moberly on Friday night in the Multi-Purpose Building.
The Ambassadors (1-0) won the women’s game 72-27 behind Chelsea Sneed’s 20 points and nine rebounds.
The OCC men (2-0) then triumphed 105-52 as 14 players scored and six tallied eight or more points.
The OCC women, bouncing back from an exhibition loss to Labette Community College of Parsons, led 35-13 at the half.
Sneed, freshman from Southwest of Washburn, was backed by junior Lacy Bounds of Monett (12 points, five assists) and freshman Darby Todd of Afton (16 points).
The OCC men, who led 55-20 at the half, received 18 points from Caleb Hutchcraft on 7-for-8 accuracy from the field. Jacob Seaton added 12 points, Austin Morris 11 rebounds and Clancy Allmoslecher 10 points.
The OCC men resume with exhibition games in Arkansas — at 5 p.m. Sunday against Henderson State and at 7 on Monday against Arkansas Tech. The OCC women have a 5 p.m. game on Tuesday against Westminster at Fulton.

OCC drops pair
KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Ozark Christian College lost its two pool volleyball matches on Friday — finishing 0-4 — in the annual NCCAA Division II Tournament.
The Ambassadors, seeded fifth among the 10 teams, wound up 33-9 overall this season under Tony Allmoslecher.
OCC opened on Friday by losing 25-14, 25-23, 15-25, 25-17 to Trinity of Florida. Philadelphia Biblical then rallied to beat the Ambassadors 17-25, 25-16, 25-15, 30-28.
Today’s semifinal pairings are Lincoln Christian vs. Grace at 10 a.m. and Manhattan Christian vs. Clearwater Christian at noon. The title match is set for 4 p.m.
SBU sinks Lions
BOLIVAR, Mo. — Southwest Baptist roared back from a 2-1 deficit to sweep the final two sets and get a 3-2 MIAA women’s volleyball victory Friday against Missouri Southern.
The Bearcats won 25-10, 16-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-12.
Brittany Vavao-Huggins and Jeanna Feldmann had 10 kills each for Southern, 6-13 in the MIAA and 13-20 overall. Ashlee Russell added 19 digs for the Lions.
Southwest Baptist went to 5-13, 12-23.
