WARRENSBURG, Mo. — The University of Central Missouri eliminated Pittsburg State 25-23, 26-24, 25-18 Friday night in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional volleyball tournament at the UCM Multipurpose Building.
Central Missouri, 34-4, was led by Abby Gruenbacher and Allie Huffman, with 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Caitlin Pankratz had 43 assists for the host Jennies.
Pittsburg State, 25-11, was led by Molly Bergkamp’s 13 kills. Emily Vosseler had 34 assists, and Tesia Lahm and Pamela Cartagena each had 15 digs.
Central Missouri advances to the regional championship game at 3:30 p.m. today against West Texas A&M; University, which defeated Washburn in Friday’s other semifinal.
