Youth softball district tournaments begin Saturday in Joplin

— Pairings for the Missouri District II softball tournaments have been announced.

Both divisions — 12-year-old and 10-year-old — will be played Saturday through Tuesday at the Blinzler Complex.

Four teams are in the 12-year-old tournament. After three days of round-robin competitions, the two teams with the best records will advance to the championship game at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Opening-round games on Saturday pit Seneca vs. Joplin at 6 p.m. and Neosho vs. Webb City at 8. Games on Sunday, also at 6, have Seneca vs. Neosho and Joplin vs. Webb City, and Monday’s slate pairs Joplin vs. Neosho and Seneca vs. Webb City.

The 10-year-old division has three teams, and the championship game is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Round-robin games, all starting at 6, have Neosho vs. Joplin on Saturday, Noesho vs. Webb City on Sunday and Joplin vs. Webb City on Monday.
