Hopefully Missouri Southern’s basketball coaches didn’t spend much time early in the season scouting Central Oklahoma.
While the Lions and Bronchos are in the same five-team “pod,” they have yet to play each other this season. And now, they will meet twice in the last week of the season.
Missouri Southern’s home doubleheader against the Bronchos on Thursday night was postponed because of poor travel conditions. It has been rescheduled for Monday night, starting with the women’s game at 5:30.
Missouri Southern teams — both battling to secure postseason tournament spots and possibly homecourt advantage for the play-in games — now have three games next week.
After meeting the Bronchos on Monday night, the Lions will play Sonic Trophy Series games on Wednesday night at Pittsburg State and then have their rematch with UCO next Saturday afternoon in Edmond.
