Manhattan Christian opened a 17-point halftime lead and defeated Ozark Christian 49-37 Friday night in a Midwest Christian College Conference women’s basketball game in the OCC gymnasium.
The Crusaders, led by Sarah Rhodes’ eight points, shot 41 percent (11-of-27) in the first half and led 28-11 at the intermission. Manhattan shot 30 percent (17-of-57) for the game compared to OCC’s 28 percent (12-of-43).
Bayli Gibson scored 17 points, including 9-of-13 at the foul line, to lead the Ambassadors. Briana Euken added 11 points, and Kaitlyn Mattingly grabbed 14 rebounds.
