PREP ROUNDUP: Cantwell's late trey sinks College Heights

Junior guard Chase Cantwell’s second trey of the game came with three seconds left and lifted the Wheaton Bulldogs past College Heights Christian 39-37 in a nonconference contest Thursday night.

Darrell Burns had 14 points and Tyler Musick nine for Wheaton (7-6).

College Heights (1-11) trailed 21-20 at the half. The Cougars’ Jake Hamilton scored 15 points and Ryan Beaver 12.

CHC entertains Springfield New Covenant at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Camdenton girls 62, Joplin 35

CAMDENTON, Mo. — Camdenton outscored Joplin 20-7 in the third quarter and went on to defeat the Eagles in an Ozark Conference contest.

Camdenton, which led 32-19 at halftime, was led by Whitney Snow’s 15 points and Abby Moulder, who had 12.

Joplin’s Bailey Taylor led the Eagles with 12 points and Danielle Hollingshead added 11 points.

CARL JUNCTION GIRLS 54, SENECA 29

SENECA, Mo. — Bryce Boyd and Brenlee McPherson scored 10 points each as the Bulldogs rolled past Seneca in a Big 8 Conference game.

Maria Chism added nine points for Carl Junction. Seneca (6-7) was led by Molli Cooper with 10 points.

Carl Junction (5-8 overall, 2-0 Big 8) will host Neosho at 6 p.m. today.
