BRANSON, Mo. —
Ignited by its defense, Webb City seized control in the third quarter and downed Branson 60-41 Friday night in Central Ozarks Conference Large Division girls basketball action.

“We got after them better defensively,” Webb City coach Brad Shorter said. “We played harder, played more aggressive. We did some really good things out on the perimeter. I felt like we did a much better job of being active and making it a little more difficult for them to pass it into the post.
“That got our offense going. We got a few easy baskets here and there, and kids hit some big shots. I’m pleased. This is a quality win for us on the road.”
