Sections of East 32nd Street and Range Line Road in Joplin are scheduled to be resurfaced at night this week, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Drivers can expect nighttime lane closings where crews are working.
The work will take place between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and possibly some Friday nights.
The projected timeline calls for East 32nd Street to be resurfaced between Range Line Road and U.S. Highway 71, beginning Monday. That project will continue through early October.
Range Line Road will be resurfaced from10th Street in Webb City to 36th Street in Joplin. That work will start on Friday and should be completed by late October.
From Oct. 11 to mid-November, Range Line Road/Business 71 will be resurfaced from 46th Street in Joplin to U.S. Highway 71 north of Neosho
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
Drivers should be alert for crews and equipment on the road with bright lights illuminating the work zone during nighttime hours.
In most locations, contractor crews will grind off the top layer of pavement and replace it with a new layer of asphalt.
APAC-Missouri of Columbia will do the work for a low bid amount of $3.8 million.
The project is scheduled for completion by December 1.
