Man’s body found at Carthage homeless camp

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Carthage police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found near Spring River in the north part of the city, according to Police Chief Greg Dagnan.

He said the dead man was found Wednesday morning at a camp site where some homeless people often live. Dagnan said the man has not been positively identified. He said officers are investigating the death “as suspicious, because at this point, we have no reason to believe it’s not.”
