JOPLIN, Mo. —
Furniture Rescue in Joplin and Joplin 3D4D Imaging are being honored with “Excellence in Business Awards” during a conference today and Thursday in Jefferson City.
The awards are presented by the Missouri Small Business and Technology Development Centers, the Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Centers and the Mid-America Trade Adjustment Assistance Center.
Each “Excellence in Business Award” winner will also receive legislative resolutions from their respective state senators and representatives honoring the impact of their enterprises on the economic development of the state.
“Missouri's small businesses are the engine of economic growth in the state,” Max Summers said in a statement. He is the interim director of University of Missouri Extension's Business Development Program, which hosts the SBTDC, PTAC and TAAC programs. “These business owners work hard every day, and the awards recognize their success.”
Twenty-two businesses statewide were honored.
Furniture Rescue, 5467 N. Main St., specializes in furniture repair, restoration, and custom furniture replacement parts.
Joplin 3D4D Imaging, 1027 S. Main St., provides innovative ultrasound and sonogram services.
