MANHATTAN, Kan. —
Preliminary autopsy results show the death of Mario Gonzalez “was due to some sort of sharp instrument,” Carthage Police Chief Greg Dagnan said today.
He said members of the Tri-State Major Case continue to work the on the case with Carthage officers.
Police say Gonzalez, 43, had been living at a homeless camp along Spring River north of Carthage. His body was bound in Spring River about 9 a.m. Wednesday.
An autopsy on the body was conducted Thursday by the Boone County medical examiner’s office in Columbia.
