CARTHAGE, Mo. —   A block of Indiana Avenue from 19th to 20th streets is closed to traffic today.

The reason for the closure is to accommodate work on the installation of new traffic signals at the intersection of 20th Street and Indiana Avenue. According to the city, the contractor on the project will remove a signal base, which requires the street to be closed to other vehicles.

On Friday, a block of Wall Avenue will be narrowed to one temporarily because of a home dedication by the Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity. The west lane  between 24th and 25th street will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to noon because to allow room for the ceremony being held for a new home.
