NEOSHO, Mo. — Four candidates — Jonathan Russell, Bill Weber, David Pevahouse and incumbent Mike Stauffer — are on today’s ballot in Neosho, running for two positions on the Neosho Board of Education.

Brad Tracy, a 48-year-old welder, was casting his ballot at Neosho High School.

“One I voted for was Mike Stauffer,” Tracy said. “I know him and he’s a good guy.”

Lana Barnes, 66, a retired business owner, said she voted to Stauffer and Pevahouse.

“I know both of them,” Barnes said. “I just feel they would be conscientious about voting. They know the community real well.”

There had been 87 ballots cast at the high school just before noon.
