Southeast Kansas foundation accepts donations for Moore

Community Foundation accepting grants for Moore, Okla., storm victims

PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas is accepting donations to assist the victims of the Moore, Okla., tornado.

Executive Director Cathy White said the foundation is prepared to send contributions to non-profit agencies or partner community foundations in that area to assist the victims.

"As in the past, when the foundation has helped with other national disasters and those closer to home, we take responsibility to link the charitable giving from this region with those in need from this disasterous storm," White said.

When making a contribution for the Moore disaster, make checks payable to: Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas and specify on the memo line: “Moore Oklahoma."

Contributions can be mailed 100 S. Broadway Ste. 100 Pittsburg, KS 66762 or dropped by the office. Contributions also may be made online at www.southeastkansas.org or by calling 620-231-8897. Donations are tax deductable.
