New-Mac restores power to about 4,500 after snowstorm

NEOSHO, Mo. — New-Mac Electric Cooperative had restored power to all but 12 of its customers by 11 a.m. Tuesday, after electricity was knocked out for 4,500 customers overnight, said spokesman Mark Rakes.

New-Mac’s power supplier, KAMO Power, lost transmission to four substations early Tuesday morning. The substations served customers around Diamond Grove, Spring City, Spurgeon and Wentworth.
