— Amy and Larry Jump on Friday received the keys to their new home at 2424 Joplin Ave. from Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri.

It’s been a long road for the Jumps and their three sons. Their initial arrangement with Relief Spark and contractor Clark Baxter turned out badly. The Jumps were initially promised they would be in a new house by Thanksgiving of last  year.

“It was a long time,” said Amy Jump. “It was so worth the wait. I wouldn’t change anything now. I’ve met so many wonderful people.”

Also receiving keys to her home at 2408 Montana Place was Emily Russell, who had just remodeled the house her grandparents built when the tornado caused extensive damage to it.
