PEVELY, Mo. —
An eastern Missouri woman is the winner of a $1 million Powerball prize.
The Missouri Lottery on Wednesday said 57-year-old Mona Diss of Pevely bought the ticket for the Match 5 Powerball prize for the June 8 drawing at a Mobil on the Run store in Pevely. She didn’t realize she was a winner until store employees encouraged her to check her ticket.
The winning numbers were 2, 11, 22, 26 and 32. The prize is paid in a lump sum so Diss will get a check for $710,000 after taxes.
