OSBI investigating death in Quapaw

QUAPAW, Okla. — Authorities are investigating the death of a woman in Ottawa County.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a woman’s body was found lying in the road in Quapaw on Thursday afternoon. Authorities say they believe the woman was in her 20s.

The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death, but OSBI says her body had obvious signs of trauma. The case has been classified as a homicide.

Anyone with information is asked to contact OSBI or the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
