Range Line Road/I-44 closing to begin tonight

JOPLIN, Mo. — Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, Range Line Road will be closed  at the Interstate 44 interchange as it is converted over to a new Diverging Diamond Interchange configuration.

The interchange will be closed through late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The interchange was originally scheduled to close early Saturday, but contractor crews made good progress today to connect existing ramps to new ramps so the closing will begin early.
