Terri Bullard, Joplin, announced as winner of $1 million lottery prize

Terri Bullard, 52, Joplin, won the $1 million prize in the Nov. 28 Powerball drawing, the Missouri Lottery Commission announced today.

She presented her winning ticket at the Missouri Lottery office in Springfield nearly one week after the drawing.

Bullard said she is not a regular player, according to a statement from the Missouri Lottery Commission, but she used a series of “significant numbers” when the jackpot reached the record high of $550 million. She bought the winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 4800 S. Range Line Road

Casey’s General Store received a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Bullard offered lottery officials no plans for the windfall, saying only that she was grateful for the win.

“You can’t win if you don’t play,” she added.

The other $1 million winning ticket from Nov. 28 was sold in Kansas City.
