JOPLIN, MO — Mr. Donald Wayne Lansaw Jr., 31, of Joplin, Mo., departed this life suddenly on Sunday evening, May 22, 2011, at his home from injuries sustained in the devastating Joplin tornado. Don began his journey on Aug. 21, 1979, in Joplin, born to the union of Donald Wayne Lansaw Sr. and Beth R. (Dinwiddie) Lansaw. He was raised in Seneca, Mo., and was a 1998 graduate of Seneca High School. He furthered his education at Crowder College in Neosho, Mo. Don was a man of great work ethic. He owned and operated Lansaw Technologies and was a licensed realtor with Charles Burt, both located in Joplin. He enjoyed spending time outdoors where his favorite activities were camping and float trips. On July 2, 2005, in Webb City, Mo., he was united in marriage to Bethany Ann Krudwig and she survives of the home. Additional survivors include his parents, Donald Wayne Lansaw Sr., of Joplin, and Beth Lansaw, of Seneca; a brother, Zach Lansaw, of Joplin; paternal grandmother, Mary Sargent, of Carl Junction, Mo.; his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Donna Krudwig, of Webb City; as well as a host of other family and close friends. Funeral services for Mr. Lansaw are at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at the Central United Methodist Church in Webb City, with Rev. Tom Shouse and Pastor D.R. Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Osborne Cemetery in Joplin. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Zach Lansaw, Troy Pierson, Matt Shear, Paul Dudley, Tim Sanders, Jason Brookshire and Mike Cory. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church (5 South Pennsylvania Avenue, Webb City). Memorials are being directed to the Don Lansaw Memorial Fund and contributions may be left US Bank in Webb City.
