DONATE: Tulsa Community Foundation creates tornado fund

TULSA, Okla. —

The Tulsa Community Foundation has created a fund to which people can donate to help others recovering from deadly tornadoes that swept through the state earlier in the week.
The Oklahoma Tornado Recovery Fund will assist in the mid-term and long-term redevelopment in rural areas impacted by the tornadoes. The fund will focus on the needs of nonprofit organizations serving the areas, and 100 percent of donations will go to recovery efforts.
Officials say the George Kaiser Family Foundation gave $50,000 in seed grant money to start the fund.
People can donate online at www.tulsacf.org or mail a donation to TCF Offices in Tulsa.
All donations are tax deductible.
