DONATE: Minnesota firm raising funds for school libraries

JOPLIN, Mo. — In response to the devastating tornado that destroyed three Joplin schools on May 22, Mackin Educational Resources, of Burnsville, Minn., has created a special Disaster Relief Funds4Books donation program to help raise the funds needed to replace the destroyed school library collections.

Standing firm on its “We Really Do Care” motto, Mackin will also contribute an additional 10 percent to every $100 raised.

With Funds4Books, 100 percent of all donations are for the school or library to spend on books, ebooks, DVDs, audiobooks, online subscriptions and more. Mackin also prepares the books to be shelf-ready and ships all materials free of charge ensuring schools get the most value from their donations.

The Joplin Funds4Books program was created in partnership with the Missouri Association of School Librarians. Individuals who would like to help Joplin schools restore their library collections can donate at: www.Funds4Books.com.

Hundreds of schools nationally have utilized Mackin’s Funds4Books online donation program to obtain needed funding for high-quality reading materials, including Wadena-Deer Creek High School in Minnesota, which was destroyed by a tornado in 2010 and successfully raised more than $20,000 with the Mackin Funds4Books program.

Mackin Educational Resources has been providing library and classroom materials to PK-12 schools for 27 years. Known for its unparalleled customer care and customization, Mackin provides library and classroom books, ebooks, online databases, and more to schools around the globe.
