JOPLIN, Mo. —
The Resource, Recovery and Rebuilding Center in Joplin will relocate to a new site, beginning Wednesday.
The state center, which for more than a year has served as a one-stop shop to assist Joplin-area residents affected by the May 22, 2011 tornado, will be located at 3600 E. Newman Road, at the regional offices of the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
The center has been at 705 Illinois Ave. since it opened on June 7, 2011.
More than 2,300 Joplin-area families have been helped through a wide variety of services offered by several state agencies at the resource center.
The new offices will include credit counseling services, services through the Missouri Housing Development Corporation and Department of Economic Development, and referral services to other state agencies.
Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The center’s phone number is 417-625-9100.
