RESOURCE: Joplin schools celebrate success of Adopt-an-Eagle

JOPLIN, Mo. — The Joplin School District’s Adopt-an-Eagle project has been so successful that each student will have a backpack full of school supplies when school starts Aug. 17.

Superintendent C.J. Huff thanked the many donors to the project. He said the success of the project will eliminate one expense and potential source of stress for parents.

“We want to make sure our families’ resources aren’t tapped,” he said.

He said donations continue to be welcome, because there will continue to be many needs.
