RESOURCE: Book fair to provide free books for children

JOPLIN, Mo. — Chapters for Children will hold its first book fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  on Saturdayat Vintage Stock in the Northpark Mall.

The books are mostly in mint condition and span reading levels from toddlers to young adults. The books were donated to the organization after an informational post was made on Facebook.

Erin Hutchison-Cooper, a Carthage teacher, and her daughter Kacie Cooper created the organization to to provide free books to children who love to read. The goal of the organization is to provide books for children who where directly impacted by the May 22 tornado, however, any child is eligible to recieve free books, according to Hutchison-Cooper.
