ANDERSON, Mo. — The Anderson Betterment Club will host the seventh annual Berries, Bluegrass and Barbecue Festival from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Dabbs Greer Park, 200 E. Main St.
Live music will be provided by a number of bluegrass bands, including the Finley River Boys, Southern Tradition, No Apparent Reason, Spillwater Drive, The Flyin’ Buzzards and Greenland Station. There will also be arts and crafts, a doughnut eating contest, the Little Miss Strawberry pageant, barbecue and food vendors, and strawberries.
A Berry Glow 5K Night Run will precede the festival, beginning at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Anderson City Hall. All money raised from the race will benefit improvements at Anderson city parks.
