Two residents of Kansas were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:28 p.m. Tuesday at the junction of West Central Road and Northwest 150th Lane in Barton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
One of the drivers involved, Jeff R. Nivens, 42, and his passenger, James R. Nivens, 36, both of Arcadia, Kansas, were taken to Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, the patrol said.
They were northbound and turning west after stopping at a stop sign but pulled into the path of a westbound pickup truck driven by Jordan L. Redman, 16, of Mindenmines, the patrol said.
• A Granby man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route O, three miles west of Stella in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Shaun M. Turner, 19, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Neosho Hospital in Neosho, the state patrol said.
He was a passenger in a northbound car driven by Merle J. Turner, 51, of Granby, that crossed the center line and struck a southbound car driven by Brittanie N. Wells, 25, of Fairview, the patrol said.
• A Lamar man suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 11:10 p.m. Monday on Route KK, two miles south of Lamar in Barton County, the state patrol said.
Denny A. Jeffries, 22, was taken to Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, the patrol said.
Jeffries was driving a westbound car that ran off the road and struck a ditch when he failed to stop at a stop sign, the patrol said.
