Pedestrian killed in Jasper County accident

A Joplin man was killed Thursday evening when he was struck by a vehicle just north of Carthage, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Daven T. Divine, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene by the chief deputy coroner for Jasper County, the patrol said.

The patrol said Divine was hit by a vehicle driven by Rodney E. Lillard, 59, of Carthage. The accident occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Route V, one mile north of Carthage in Jasper County, the patrol said.
