The Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team served a search warrant Wednesday at a rural Joplin address, seizing undisclosed amounts of heroin and methamphetamine and arresting three suspects.

Newton County deputies and Duquesne police assisted in the search of a residence at 11319 Route FF, Lot A-11.

Donnie Tunnell, 27, was taken into custody on numerous outstanding warrants and for questioning in connection with several burglaries in the area, according to a news release issued by ODET. A new charge also was being sought on Tunnell for felony possession of a controlled substance in connection with the search of the residence.

Lisa Sidney, 30, was arrested on two felony warrants issued by Jasper County and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and attempted destruction of evidence. The news release alleged that Sidney tried to swallow some suspected methamphetamine as the search warrant was being served. Also taken into custody was Shannon Sidney, 29, on suspicion of possession of heroin.
