Widespread rain and scattered thunderstorms will bring more moisture to the area today and tonight, creating an elevated risk for flooding.
The National Weather Service forecast office, in a brief released this morning, said there is a limited risk of thunderstorm wind damage, an elevated risk for flooding and a limited lightning risk.
A few isolated damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph will be possible with the strongest thunderstorms that occur along and south of Interstate 44 this afternoon.
Widespread severe weather is not expected.
The chance of thunderstorms will continue Tuesday. Additional chances for storms will occur Wednesday night and Thursday, and again this weekend.
