"This year, everyone seemed to be on a balancing high-wire act. We tried to balance following safe COVID-19 protocols while still acknowledging how much stress and grief everyone was going though," Nomer said. "I spent most of my time in 2020 trying to capture this balance. This unprecedented year disrupted so much, including the senior year of high school students. They were allowed a graduation, but it had to be at a distance from their classmates and teachers. How could you not want to reach out to them in their disappointment? These students deserved a hug for all they've gone through. I think we all kind of deserve one."
As 2020 draws to a close, we recall the events that have brought us to this point.
CARTHAGE, MO - Susan Lynn Miller, 63, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021. Memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday at Oltmann Funeral Home, Union, MO. Private services will be held.
