WEBB CITY, Mo. — Webb City police said Wednesday that a woman who was critically injured in a single-fatality accident Tuesday morning on North Range Line Road gave birth to a baby at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, where she was taken after the accident.

Police Chief Carl Francis said a baby was delivered to Emilee N. Neher, 21, of Webb City, at the Joplin hospital, where the mother remained in critical condition Wednesday. The newborn was reported to be in critical but stable condition, Francis said.

Neher’s 2-year-old son, Samuel Neher, also was injured in the accident and was reported to be in stable condition Wednesday. The driver of their car, Ryan B. Tyndall, 25, of Webb City, died of injuries he suffered when the car and a delivery truck collided.
