MIAMI, Okla. — The Miami Fire Department was able to confine damage from an electrical fire Thursday night to the attic of a two-story home.

Firefighters were called at 10:17 p.m. to the home of Scott Silva at 30 D St. S.W. in Miami. Capt. Robert Wright of the fire department said smoke was billowing out from the eaves of the frame house when firefighters arrived.

The occupants of the home were alerted to the fire and were able to get out without injury before firefighters arrived, Wright said.

He said the cause of the fire is believed to have been related to the replacement of a breaker in the attic.
