A 56-year-old Joplin man was charged with a felony weapon offense after he allegedly threatened a woman with a knife Friday afternoon in the 800 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue.
Carol A. Paypay, 49, told police that a male acquaintance knocked her to the ground and threatened her with a pocketknife during an argument.
Police Lt. Matt Stewart said Paypay declined any medical treatment for injuries sustained in the alleged attack. Stewart said her assailant had fled the scene by the time police arrived. But Gary Perry was located Saturday at Watered Gardens, 531 S. Kentucky Ave., and arrested. He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
