KCU students immerse themselves in community service

Tevin Hughley, a KCU first-year student from Opelika, Ala., and Parshvi Patel, a first-year student from Corona, Calif., work on a mural in downtown Joplin on Wednesday during KCU's We Care Day. The effort was part of a community service that saw other members of the new Joplin class of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences cleaning buses for the local school district, caring for adoptable pets at the Joplin Humane Society, and helping out at the Community Clinic of Southwest Missouri and Crosslines Ministries, among others.
