Haley Wolf has joined the Missouri Southern women’s basketball staff, head coach Ronda Hubbard announced Wednesday.
Wolf replaces assistant coach Victor Esparza, who left after one season at Missouri Southern to return home to New Mexico and seek a high school job.
Wolf comes to MSSU after spending last year working in the athletics marketing department at Kansas, assisting in promoting the Jayhawks’ sports.
“Haley is a welcome addition to our staff as she has good knowledge of the MIAA and great behind the scenes training in the marketing department at KU,” Hubbard said in a release.
“I am confident that her young skill set and work ethic are going to help us function at a higher level. She will work within all aspects of our program, but in particular will take on the academic coordinator and travel coordinator responsibilities.”
Wolf’s familiarity with the MIAA comes as being a four-year letter winner at Fort Hays State. She graduated in 2013 with a degree in health and human performance.
Wolf prepped at Ellis, Kansas, where she was a two-time all-conference selection and part of the winningest class in school history. She helped the Railroaders to a state runner-up finish in 2009.
