PITTSBURG, Kan. — There wasn’t much need for a second half of basketball Monday for visiting Bethany College’s women against Pittsburg State.

The Gorillas, leading 50-18 at halftime, went on to win 94-48.

Defensively, the Gorillas forced 29 turnovers and had their way in the rebound category as well with a 42-29 advantage.

Possibly the most telling stat is the 52.1 percent the Gorillas shot from the floor compared to 36.7 percent for Bethany.

Nicole McCombs paced all scorers with 24 points for Pittsburg State.

Brianna Buchanan poured in 15 and Bailey Waugh finished with 11 to help lead the Gorillas.

Roni Whitman and Rhys Pihl each paced Bethany with 10.

The Gorillas improved to 10-3.
